Congrtatulations on your marriage and having a child. irealised that children are the best thing that can happen, as they give a real perspective on life.

I found your site on the BBC wintersport site, so will know wherre to find your updates on your performances.

Once again well done on your achievements

    Paul Martin

  22. Sean mate...I've somewhat been hiding under a stone for the past few years. I wouldn't presume to patronize you or bore you with the issues I dealt with because they are completely insignificant compared to what you've dealt with. I burst with pride whenever I read about you and I look at the pictures from those o'so eventful years we shared with joy. You absolutely metamorphisied the Hebrides from mere Isands to a playground for me buddy and we flattened a few hills along the way. Hope to hear from you in the future but take your time...after all I feckin did! Stay safe brother and CHARRRRGE!

  37. Fantastic news all round and congrats to you both. Its been a long time since the first time we met and I'll never forget the wind-up of that fist ski run on the instructors course when our group were taken to one side and you told me that we were the duffers and were being sent home; even though we turned out to be top group. To see how far you have come is truly awesome, especially since I made those journeys down to Murnau from Bruggen. That first time in the van when I took you for the Chinese meal and lifting you up into the van on the front seat. You said that you have never been so high in ages and now 8 years on, your on top of the world. Not only are you a true credit to yourself and your family but you’re an inspiration to all who have met you or read your web site. Keep at it Sean. Regards to all the family. PS. You still owe me a beer from that round in the Magi Bar ;-)

  38. Sean

We have never meet but if you make Leana happy you must be an OK chap. Can we have some photos of you both as I have had nothing since your wedding. Please tell Leana that I miss her alot. I feel proud of your acheivements that I have heard off.

Best of luck to you both

  39. Dear Sean, Just few word from me to thank you for the incredible week at sun peaks. Also the free ski day i had the chance to do with you and your team was just unbelievable for me. Do you still have the cap i gave to you as a souvenir of me? Good luck in your future race. i will continue to follow your carreer and i hope to see you next year at sunn peaks. Best regards, Alex Cherton sitskier of team Quebec

  45. Hey its your fave cousin here hope all is good with you and leana. well chuft with your good news. hope you are able to come to sophies 18th. well proud of all your achievements. you can believe your mum and dad are keeping us well informed. xxxxx

  46. Sean

You truly are an inspiration. My 18 year old daughter broke her back and pelvis and dissected her liver in a high speed mva in 2005 and is still recuperating. She has full use of her legs but is no longer able to participate in contact sports. Prior to the accident she was captain of the netball, basketball and cricket teams and was quite an accomplished athlete and swimmer.

I'm ex RAF too and we may have some friends in common. I served from 1984 to 1988 and trained at Cosford (Telecommunications Operator) in 1984. I remember Mark Taylor from 16 pti course (i think) and Nick Brooksbank and Mark Boucher (17 pti course).

    Take care

    Emma

    Wish you all the best,

  52. Sean

Sally and I (still together + two rug rats, 11 & 4) came accross your article in the RAF's Active magazine (Yes, we're both still in). I gather you've been a tad busy of late. Not that that comes as any surprise to me. Sitting in a bar, while on BWT, way back in Feb 2000, I had an incling you'd succeed come what may! Mind you, my initial thought was; you selfish bastard "come all this way to see you, and have you instruct me in the finer art of skiing, and you go and try and end it all"! We did try and come and see you, but your Mam and dad, who we ate with one night (lucky them), thought you'd not be up to too many visitors. We did send some crap magazines instead. Sean, from the sound of all your exploits, you deserve every success that comes your way. I know you probably tire of people saying you're an inspiration to them, but its true. Here I am, feeling pissed off with the world, and its just down to the stress and strains of work. Having read several articles about you on the web tonight, I feel just a tad embarrassed, and realise just how lucky a great many of us really are (then again, having had you surpass (almost) my ability on the hockey pitch, just to prove a point, I don't know wht I'm even writing this?) - Remember the "I'll be in the RAF 2nds by Christmas"? Sorry Sally and I haven't personally been in touch before now. We have spoken to PTIs in th past few years, who said you were doing OK, but its not been quite the same. Well matey, congrats on finding yourself a good woman. Hope she keeps you honest! Sally and I would just like to wish you the best of luck in all your endeavours, and we'll be watching out for yor results. Best wishes Si Rees (Finningley 1990 -95)

  53. WELL DONE..Nice races in Pitztal

Iam looking forward 2 the next results.

Keep on racing like this and have a verry nice seizoen.

    Gr Patrick (Holland)

  54. Sean - You are an inspiration!! I know how difficult it is to motivate oneself with all ones faculties in place. Thanks for reminding us all how fortunate we are.

  55. A fiend suggested That I read you story, as I am going through some hard times myself, his names Chris Elliot, he says "BIG RESPECT & HELLO". If I could find just 5% of the posatve thinking you have then my days would be brighter. Thankyou for sharing your story mr sean Rose. Sending (((Hugs))) nat x

  56. Hey Sean How are you going? Hope you remember me from stoney park last year, the 3 familys with heaps of kids. At school i have to do a speech on a person i believe to be a hero and i imediatly thought of you. Anyways sean i wish you all the best to you and your wife. Josh
