Hi Sean
We just wanted to wish you all the best for your Icelandic challenge in April. It looks awesome.
We are off to La Plagne again on 25 Feb with DSUK - our 3rd trip, and although fundraising is hard, we are getting there! Hope to get 3 years funding from Children in Need that will secure our weekly coaching sessions. Then all our efforts will go into raising the cash to take the kids to the Alps for the real thing.
So, best of luck. You are an awesome patron for our group.
From all at Sunderland Adaptive Snowsports

Hi Sean, i've just recieved the info about your Icelandic trip from your dad, or should i say...extreme trip!! I wondered what you would do when you packed in racing, boy you don't half pick 'em. Thats probably quite a challenge for an able bodied person, never mind three disabled lads,i've no doubt it will be mission accomplished though. Stay safe and good luck.
Hi
Glad you are enjoying the 4 wheeled buggy you bought off me
Looks like it is getting a lot of use
Good luck with the iceland trip
Jerry

Hi Sean
My Dad, Gordon Hill, was talking to your Dad at the garage and Bob mentioned your website. Not too sure if Bob has told you about Paul but on 29 June 2009 he had a race riding fall in Australia which has resulted in him being a T4 paraplegic.
We have read your website and think your story is amazing and just wanted to say hello. We are still living in Australia but are thinking of moving back to the UK in a few years time so hopefully we could catch up then.
Take care
Catherine and Paul
Hi Sean. Sorry i never posted anything up after the Olympics, but you know how rubbish i am at keeping in touch. Shame about the injury just before the big event, hope the recovery is coming on well from the surgery. My dad watched all the coverage of the Olympics on tv, and was rewarded with seeing you compete a couple of times. He sends his best. Good luck with the handbiking in scotland, sounds like it's going to be almost as tough as when we did the SSDT!!!! Hope to see you down at South Lakes for the RAF Champs first full week in Sept. Laters. Matt
Hi Sean, Just read your news page and its good that your operation went well.I was talking to your dad last week at the time you were actually in dock under repair ! Its funny, every time i see him or Craig i have to part with some brass.the joys of motoring i suppose!!.Its nice to see you are still so upbeat after the Olympics. We all know its the taking part that is important but it would have been nice to bring a medal home.Wishing you a complete and speedy recovery and good luck for the future.
Neil and Joan.
Hi Mate, I'm now living in Juns, 6km from Hintertux summer and winter. If you come out and want to meet for a beer let me know or if there is anything I can do for the skiing ping me an e-mail. Dribs.
Morning Sean
I am Head of a boys' school in Surrey that has recently introduced skiing as an option. The boys are very fired up by the new activity. I watched an interview you did in Canada and wondered whether you do school visits. If you do, I'd like to explore the possibility of doing an evening visit open to member of the school community and general public.
Best wishes
Patrick

Hi Sean,
I can't believe how far you've come since Feb 2000 when Ginge Mac and me were visiting you in Murnau a few days after your accident. I could never catch you on ski's before and by the look of things I still wouldn't be able to. Best of luck in Vancouver, but somehow I don't think you'll need it!
All the best mate Pete Ingle
Congratulations Sean, hope the bruises are all gone.We were talking to Craig today (car in for MOT) He was telling us about your spill, just watched it on the Tube.I cant even stand up on skis never mind doing the things you do.There was a good write up in the Gazette as well. You and your fellow athletes are an inspiration to others. Keep it going Sean, lets have some more gold.
Good luck.
Well done on Sestriere, fantastic result.
Is that the first ever British gold medal in a world cup?
Saw the team training in Hintertux, was amazed at the speed, respect.

Much appreciated
Owain Jones
Hey Sean,

Sean, you're an inspiration mate to anyone who looks at anything and thinks, nah, just too hard for me. Have been following your progress for a while now (since your accident to be honest) and dad keeps me abreast of where you are and what comps you've been in etc. And so here's the BIG one in 2010. The ski team calenders your dad's been handing out are on the wall, so Best of luck and Go for it man !
Hello mate, saw this fella that I almost recognised on the Look East BBC this morning and found out that we are now neighbours! We have settled in Peterborough after our European tour, to be near our daughter who lives in Eye. Just got back from a self drive ski trip to La Plagne, and your name was mentioned (as it usually is) Get in touch with your contact details, it would be great to see you and catch up. If I don't get to see you before Canada, good luck...I shall be watching!
Dave
Hi Sean,
Absolutely delighted to see you (briefly) on Ski Sunday, congratulations on your win.
We left Kiel (finally) in 2006 and live in Scotland near Steve and Sarah Donnan. Would love to meet up again and fill in all of the gaps. Good luck in Vancouver, will be following with great interest - drop a line if you get chance.
Fond Regards
Chris & Gerardine
He Rosey,
Are you okay after crash?
Good luck in March we wil be watching
Olly Helen Harvey
Sean - It's amazing what you have done you are an inspiration. I hope you give me a shout when you are in Whistler in March. It was a shock when we bumped into each other on Blackcomb. Nice to see some old BMX'ers posting (Al Batty and Andy Davidson) I will try to get tickets for your event. Good luck.
Well done Sean, You're doing your Mam, Dad, Craig and the rest of the family proud. We wish you all the best for the forthcoming events, and we're all thinking of you and family. I bet Bob had a bit of a headache after the Bubbly.
GOLD Medal !!!!! In a World Cup race too...now that really is something. I think I can probably say that I know as well as anyone what that must be like and what dedication it has meant for someone from a non-Alpine European country. I look forward to having a look at it in Edinburgh next week, I hope. All the very best for Vancouver - sorry I shan't be there to see you but I will be keeping up with the results.
Now Rosie,
Long time no speak. I see you have done the marriage stuff (she must be a special lady) and started a family, congratulations, and on top of all that you are competing in a very demanding sport - downhill ski racing. Was hoping to go to the reunion last year but the wife had just given birth to our 3rd child, understand from Mitty you were there.
Good luck for Vancouver and if you are back up North and fancy a beer (if training permits!) drop us a line.
Hi Sean
Good to see you putting all of us ex BMXers to shame by actively competeing in a extreme sport like downhill skiing in a wheelchair!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Gary and I are skiing in Les Gets the last week in Jan, I know its a long shot but if you are in the alps at all we could come to where you are and have our arses kicked in a race.
Saw your mum and dad at Edith Robinson funeral and had a chat about you, been meaning to look you up ever since but you know how it is, Ian Smith text me about the article in the Gazette and that prompted me to look for your website.
It would be good to catch up but if not good luck with everything and I will keep an eye out for your results etc.
Hi Mate hope your ok and all is well please get in touch and maybe next time you visit home in teesside we can meet up for a chat or a drink, i dont get down the river now as been busy with work and the buisness, but miss it and was tempted with all the snow we had to take fins of my board and use it as a snow board lol.
Hope you and the familly are well
Tony xxx

Sean mate...I've somewhat been hiding under a stone for the past few years. I wouldn't presume to patronize you or bore you with the issues I dealt with because they are completely insignificant compared to what you've dealt with. I burst with pride whenever I read about you and I look at the pictures from those o'so eventful years we shared with joy. You absolutely metamorphisied the Hebrides from mere Isands to a playground for me buddy and we flattened a few hills along the way. Hope to hear from you in the future but take your time...after all I feckin did! Stay safe brother and CHARRRRGE!

Sean,
Thought I would put something on the public side of your profile.
What an inspiration you are to anyone with a disability or serious injury, you have proved that anything is possible. From almost the moment you realised your back was broken you have striven to be the best you can be and you have succeeded.
I wish you and Leana and of course the little 'Rose' all the very best for the future.
"Be inspired by Sean Rose" I was.

Sean,
saw you on Ski Sunday yesterday and my slow brain finally placed you in my brother Andy's year at Bydales! Sorry to read about your crash but damn impressed at your attitude and achievements! Damn impressed.
Best wishes, Paul.
Fantastic news all round and congrats to you both. Its been a long time since the first time we met and I'll never forget the wind-up of that fist ski run on the instructors course when our group were taken to one side and you told me that we were the duffers and were being sent home; even though we turned out to be top group. To see how far you have come is truly awesome, especially since I made those journeys down to Murnau from Bruggen. That first time in the van when I took you for the Chinese meal and lifting you up into the van on the front seat. You said that you have never been so high in ages and now 8 years on, your on top of the world. Not only are you a true credit to yourself and your family but you’re an inspiration to all who have met you or read your web site. Keep at it Sean. Regards to all the family. PS. You still owe me a beer from that round in the Magi Bar ;-)
